Why You Should Always Visit Your Local Florist
A lot of consumers who shop online have no idea they are, more than likely, ordering flowers from a call center, an order gatherer, a middle man.
These call centers usually have an offer that is very tempting and hard to resist. They will offer you a nice arrangement (which is photoshoped by the way, but that's another story for another day) for a lower than market price.
Once you have selected an arrangement, mysterious fees start coming into play. Call centers will charge the customer a handling fee, sometimes called a processing fee which can be upwards of $19.99 or more. On top of an already high delivery fee, they list a rush-delivery fee.
By the time you finalize your purchase, you will be surprised how much more money you spent on flowers than you originally had planned to. Click Here to view a comparison of a local florist vs internet companies.
Ask a buddy, what flower shop would they recommend? Ask a co-worker; ask a relative. You can even check YELP where local consumers leave reviews, tips and pictures of local businesses including flower shops.
Make sure to always go over all florists Websites. Review their work on Facebook or Instagram. Call the flower shop and ask if they have a physical location where you can come in and pick up merchandise.
One of the easiest ways to avoid overpaying for flowers online is to always purchase directly from your local florist. You will save money and always get more flowers for your buck every time you shop local.
I highly recommend Real Local Florists to purchase flowers online. The Florist Detectives if you want to learn more about the differences between local flower shops and internet companies.

Stage Decorations by Fancy Flowers
Stage & Podium Decorations
Following are a few pictures and videos that we have come across this past week. We made these Tropical Arrangements for a Stage Decoration at a local university recently. The videos we got from our Instagram account as well as @Vivi_Cast. who was attending her brother's Cypress Bay High School graduation. By the way, congratulations to all high school seniors who already had their graduation ceremony and to those who will have theirs in the next few days.

Corsages & Boutonnieres For Prom
Corsages & Boutonnieres For Prom
Prom season is here. It's that time of the year to shop for the shoes to go with the perfect dress, make up and hairstyle, jewelry if any and last but equally as important, your corsage & boutonniere for your date.Corsages & boutonnieres come in a wide variety of flowers, colors and add-ons. The most commonly used are orchids and roses. View more Corsages and Boutonnieres on our website.
When shopping for your corsage, bring a swatch of fabric in the same color as your dress whenever possible. This will aid us in finding a ribbon to go with your dress and flower. Also recommended is that you bring your date with you, this way each of you can select your corsage & boutonniere
Corsages & boutonnieres can be worn in different ways. They can be worn on your wrist, chest and sometimes on your ankle too. This usually depends on your dress -- whether it has straps or not. If no straps then almost by default you must wear your corsage on your wrist, otherwise you can wear it on your chest.
Contrary to popular belief, picking out a corsage is not a difficult task when planned ahead of time. We recommend you stop by our shop and make your selection a minimum of 2 weeks before prom night. Remember that the more time you give yourself, the better your chances are of finding the perfect flower, color, ribbon and add-ons that will make up your corsage.
