Secretarie's Day 2015
Secretaries Day April 22nd
According to Wikipedia, Secretaries Day or Administrative Professional Day is observed in several countries to recognize the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals.
Secretaries Day 2015 is this coming Wednesday, the 22nd of April. Besides fresh flowers in our display cooler, we also have dish garden plants, lucky bamboos and orchid plants that you can take to the office as appreciation of your secretary.

Prom season is here. It's that time of the year to shop for the shoes to go with the perfect dress, make up and hairstyle, jewelry if any and last but equally as important, your corsage & boutonniere for your date.Corsages & boutonnieres come in a wide variety of flowers, colors and add-ons. The most commonly used are orchids and roses. View more Corsages and Boutonnieres on our website.
When shopping for your corsage, bring a swatch of fabric in the same color as your dress whenever possible. This will aid us in finding a ribbon to go with your dress and flower. Also recommended is that you bring your date with you, this way each of you can select your corsage & boutonniere
Corsages & boutonnieres can be worn in different ways. They can be worn on your wrist, chest and sometimes on your ankle too. This usually depends on your dress -- whether it has straps or not. If no straps then almost by default you must wear your corsage on your wrist, otherwise you can wear it on your chest.
Contrary to popular belief, picking out a corsage is not a difficult task when planned ahead of time. We recommend you stop by our shop and make your selection a minimum of 2 weeks before prom night. Remember that the more time you give yourself, the better your chances are of finding the perfect flower, color, ribbon and add-ons that will make up your corsage.

Why I Like Tinted And Painted Flowers

Did you know you can paint your flowers any color you want?
Two of the most commonly used floral sprays are "Just For Flowers" & "Color Tool" both by Design Master, "Color Tool" is the one I prefer.
Tinted or sprayed flowers are not for everyone; Some customers like it more than others. Personally, I think flowers paint is great and very useful. There are times when paint, if used correctly, will help florists and customers get that perfect color to match their desired taste. For instance, we had a customer getting married last weekend and he told us that blue roses were "a must have" for his wedding. I explained to him that it was not possible to get natural blue roses. When I suggested to have them spray painted, he asked for a sample...needless to say that he was more than satisfied with the outcome and placed his order with us right away.

For us at the shop Prom season (which is coming soon by the way) seems to be the time when we use spray paint the most. High school kids looking to match their dresses are the ones who usually ask us to spray paint flowers for accents on their corsages or boutonnieres for guys.
We also use spray paint whenever special jobs are requested. We have done logos before and flags as well. For these big jobs we preffer to use carnations because they absorb the paint with ease and also gives us a more "natural" look and result.

There are other flowers that can be sprayed painted such as hydrangeas, fuji mums, roses and daysies also.
If you are one of those people who like spray painted flowers, make sure you ask your local florist if they offer this service. I'm sure ALL florists will work with you by either having your flowers painted or by finding substitutions for the color you wish to have. In the end we florists are here to please you, our loyal customers.
