Following are a few pictures and videos that we have come across this past week. We made these Tropical Arrangements for a Stage Decoration at a local university recently. The videos we got from our Instagramaccount as well as @Vivi_Cast. who was attending her brother's Cypress Bay High School graduation. By the way, congratulations to all high school seniors who already had their graduation ceremony and to those who will have theirs in the next few days.
It has been just about a month since our last post here. A lot has transpired since then; Mother's Day came and went, Prom Season is winding down and Memorial Weekend is here. We haven't had much time to spare for pictures these past few weeks. Here are a few of those we captured during Mother's Day weekend and throughout Prom Season 2015.
According to Wikipedia, Secretaries Day or Administrative Professional Day is observed in several countries to recognize the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals.
Secretaries Day 2015 is this coming Wednesday, the 22nd of April. Besides fresh flowers in our display cooler, we also have dish garden plants, lucky bamboos and orchid plants that you can take to the office as appreciation of your secretary.
Stop by our shop in the next couple of days and grab a gift or a bouquet of flowers for the office. Follow us onInstagram, We'll be posting there more gift ideas for this upcoming Secretary's Day 2015. See what else is available on ourOnline Store.
Prom season is here. It's that time of the year to shop for the shoes to go with the perfect dress, make up and hairstyle, jewelry if any and last but equally as important, your corsage & boutonniere for your date.
Corsages & boutonnieres come in a wide variety of flowers, colors and add-ons. The most commonly used are orchids and roses. View more Corsages and Boutonnieres on our website.
When shopping for your corsage, bring a swatch of fabric in the same color as your dress whenever possible. This will aid us in finding a ribbon to go with your dress and flower. Also recommended is that you bring your date with you, this way each of you can select your corsage & boutonniere
Corsages & boutonnieres can be worn in different ways. They can be worn on your wrist, chest and sometimes on your ankle too. This usually depends on your dress -- whether it has straps or not. If no straps then almost by default you must wear your corsage on your wrist, otherwise you can wear it on your chest.
Contrary to popular belief, picking out a corsage is not a difficult task when planned ahead of time. We recommend you stop by our shop and make your selection a minimum of 2 weeks before prom night. Remember that the more time you give yourself, the better your chances are of finding the perfect flower, color, ribbon and add-ons that will make up your corsage.
These are some of the floral arrangements we have made lately at the flower shop. Some are fresh natural flowers while others were made out of silk flowers.

Tinted & Spray Painted Flowers: Now Available At Our Store
Can you spot the tinted flowers?
Did you know you can paint your flowers any color you want?
Two of the most commonly used floral sprays are "Just For Flowers" & "Color Tool" both by Design Master, "Color Tool" is the one I prefer.
Tinted or sprayed flowers are not for everyone; Some customers like it more than others. Personally, I think flowers paint is great and very useful. There are times when paint, if used correctly, will help florists and customers get that perfect color to match their desired taste. For instance, we had a customer getting married last weekend and he told us that blue roses were "a must have" for his wedding. I explained to him that it was not possible to get natural blue roses. When I suggested to have them spray painted, he asked for a sample...needless to say that he was more than satisfied with the outcome and placed his order with us right away.
Spray Painted Blue Rose
For us at the shop Prom season (which is coming soon by the way) seems to be the time when we use spray paint the most. High school kids looking to match their dresses are the ones who usually ask us to spray paint flowers for accents on their corsages or boutonnieres for guys.
We also use spray paint whenever special jobs are requested. We have done logos before and flags as well. For these big jobs we preffer to use carnations because they absorb the paint with ease and also gives us a more "natural" look and result.

There are other flowers that can be sprayed painted such as hydrangeas, fuji mums, roses and daysies also.
